::about us
Houston Fellows Initiative is a leadership development and
career enhancing initiative for recent college graduates who
desire to explore a God-centered view of work and life.
For 9 months, September through May, Fellows receive
graduate-level theological training from Christian scholars
and community leaders.
They apply that training through professional internships,
community outreach, church ministry and interactions with
host families, mentors and other Fellows.

::history
The Fellows Program began in Falls Church, Virginia, in 1995, for the purpose of joining young Christian men and women
together in service to their communities, and to strengthen their spiritual and professional identities.
The Falls Church Program has now graduated 12 classes representing about 155 young leaders. Many are now serving in
their communities in government, business, non-profit and ministry leadership positions.
The program is selective, offering recent college graduates and emerging leaders in their 20's and 30's the opportunity to
explore their chosen vocation or calling within a community - a family, a church, peers, work, academia, and city.
A Fellows Program has operated within Houston at St. John the Divine, using the Falls Church Fellows Program as a model, for
7 years. The St. John the Divine community has witnessed nearly 40 individuals transformed and becoming leaders in the
Church and within their vocation and community.
