The Houston Fellows Initiative is a 9 month leadership development and career enhancing initiative for recent college graduates
who desire to explore a God-centered view of work, life and culture.
This program is offered by a consortium of host churches and each Fellow lives with a host family from a host church.
The purpose of the host family experience is to expose Fellows to a household which is Christ-centered and willing to share its
experiences with a young person not of its own. The Fellow should be accepted into the household as a contributing member
of that body.
The goal is to end the year with a strong, loving and permanent relationship between the Fellow and the host family.

Host families are in a position to mentor and teach a young adult in a way that will affect his or her life forever.
Families interested in hosting a Fellow will complete a questionnaire about their family life and household. Fellows complete a
similar questionnaire relating to their own expectations and needs. On the basis of this information, a match is made between
a Fellow and a host family.
